C:Hardmead To Stanstead Lock
HARDMEAD TO STANSTEAD LOCK
From the footbridge near to Tumbling Bay Weir to Hardmead Lock is quite slow moving and in the summer there are large numbers of carp, bream and chub in this section. Roach and perch are also to be found. In the winter months pike anglers have some success roving this section.
Below Hardmead Lock near to the Marina and above Stanstead Lock there is an area known as ‘the wides’ where large shoals of bream seem to shoal up.
Floating baits along this section are producing some double figure carp.
